Nothing going on here, move on…

Sunday, May 14th, 2006

Oddly enough, when things are going on in life I fid myself far too busy to even think about working on my website, yet when things are quiet you don’t have much to write about.
Life right now is in a wierd combination of the two: terribly busy in general, but not a whole lot going on. Or at least it seems this way. This is as likely due to the prolonged stretch of rainy weather that we have had here… I haven’t seen any sunshine for a week and a half and the extended forecast doesn’t offer much hope.
I have been able to set a bit of time aside though now and then and worked on my Triumph Speed Triple website, Speed Three. This evening, for example, I have started work on the “bits” section, a page well needed to help me retain the dribs and drabs of info I come across about bike accessories.

Transmetropolitan

Thursday, April 27th, 2006

I just finished reading all 10+ volumes of Transmetropolitan, written by Warren Ellis with art by Darick Robertson and Rodney Ramos, and I would honestly have to rank it as one of the best comics I have read.

Cool Nights

Tuesday, September 6th, 2005

I was away on vacation for a couple of weeks (w/o the S3), so it has been a while since I have been on the bike. Tonight I did my new regular jaunt out into the “countryside” and back (about 40 miles round trip).
Man, once I got out of the city and into the wooded areas, my hands were starting to get cold. Definitely time to get myself a new set of gloves. Maybe it is just New England weather. Maybe it is because I have missed two weeks of riding, but it seems like I have missed some seasonal transition here. Brrrr.

High Beam Oddness

Tuesday, August 16th, 2005

Tonight I went for a bit of a late night ride in some (relatively) rural areas nearby. As there are long stretches in the woods with twisty and hilly roads with no lighting, I decided to actually use my high beams for the first time.
It was quite a surprise to me when I flicked the switch on and the lights did not change. Lights were no different and no “your high beams are on” dumby light came on either.*click* *click* *click* *click* Nothing.

Now with more blog!

Tuesday, August 9th, 2005

I really haven’t much of a clue about if (real) people actually follow any of this page.. but if any of you do, I have now set it up as a blog with my Movable Type install. What this means in the end is that I will now be able to (in theory) update this more readily more frequently.
My previous entries here have been re-entered at the apropriate dates.
